Today I started prepping the trunk and new DSE pieces for primer.
First I removed the the old trunk paint.
Then I welded up the holes where the old battery used to be.
Next I scuffed up the new DSE pieces with a wire brush to get rid of some surface rust.
Ready for primer
Previous owner had covered up plug welds to the frame with seam sealer. I removed it and will smooth before final paint.
