Today I fabricated a mount for the Vintage Air climate control. This is the VHX series climate control that matches the instrument cluster.
I want to recess this into the dash. I started by slicing a piece of 1" x 1 3/4" tubing lengthwise.
If you look closely, you can see where I have the rounded outside edges marked.
I used some of the scraps to form up the round ends. Like the fancy tool?
Now all that's left is to cut the holes for the 2 inner Clayton Machine Works A/C vents. There will be one of each side of the HVAC control.
