Wiring - Under Dash Misc., Part 2 (July 23 - 27, 2013)

A continuation of the previous post. More misc. under dash wiring shots.

Here you can see the connector I added to the wiper harness to the relay block.

Next to the headlight switch is the outboard a/c vent. As I mentioned earlier there is not sufficient room to use the OEM plug on the headlight switch. The plan is to use some flag connectors on the switch and create a "switch harness" with connectors on the other end. Started at the switch with the flag spade terminals.

Then used adhesive heat shrink to make boots for each terminal.

Rather than use one large weather pack connector I used two smaller ones. One 2 pole for the power feed (line side) and one 4 pole for the outgoing power leads (load side).

Here you can see where those two connectors end up. If I need to remove the switch I can just unplug these two connectors.

Tidying up the Phantom harness.

Just a few leads that will go to the passenger side, battery feeds, starter solenoid, courtesy lamps, radio & misc stuff that will end up at the glove box (more on that later).

Bringing the sensor input leads up to the Dakota Dash module.

A few more shots of the cleaned up Phantom area.

And yet still more to come !!
