Wiring - Rear, Part 2 (August 19 - 27, 2013)

This entry covers termination of the tail lights and the fuel pump controller.

Since we are in the interior of the trunk, I used more Painless split loom.

Since I used the Fesler tail lights without the reverse lights, I needed to add a second socket to each side. The tail lights accept two bulbs. These will be LED 1157 type bulbs.

Running to the passenger side and the drop for the license plate light. This will be LED as well.

The additional ground in the pic is for the license plate light. LED's like to have a good ground.

This is the Vapor Worx PWM fuel pump controller. The small module on the right is a signal conditioner for the fuel pressure sensor. The item on the left is an inertia switch that I added as a safety measure. The blue lead is an ignition input to tell the controller that the ignition switch is on. In the event of a collision, the inertia switch will open. To reset, you just press the plunger on top down.

The harness coming from the fuel tank.

All wired up. The only thing left is to run a battery positive and negative which will come from the load side of the main battery fuse located on the other side of the trunk.

Snaking the lead for the trunk release through the trunk lid.

Adding a single pole weather pack connector to the trunk release lead. This will make it easy to remove the trunk lid if needed in the future.
